Resident Evil, Afterlife.

Capcom-Unity has posted some of the first stills for Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D. The new movie will star Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter and that guy that whispered a lot on Prison Break. I'm an idiot for even having a shred of hope for the fourth Resident Evil movie, but hey, I'm a Resident Evil fanboy all the way.

Speaking of the new Resident Evil movie, Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter and Paul W.S. Anderson will all be in San Francisco this weekend promoting the new movie at WonderCon. I'll be heading to the panel and trailer presentation, will you?

Why 3D?
This film don't need 3D, is good as it is, just like all of the previews versions of Resident Evil this one don't need 3D. Is like Hollywood have gone 3D crazy, not every film is right for 3D.

Why I want to make my sci fi film Union.

I was born in to a poor Hispanic family my mother separated from my father, so I went to live with my mother. She had move to New York with out known a single word in English, somehow she manege to make a living and put food on the table. She even manage to give me some money, so I can go to the cinema and escape the reality of my life. Being poor at the age of 10 was extremely difficult for me, movies gave me a way to imagine a better way of life. And for the duration of the film I was happy, I would hate when the movie ended, because it would mean that I had to go back to reality. I told my self that someday I would make films, but life had other plans for me.

Now at the age of 41, I want to make my dreams come true. I want to make films, I want to inspire others who go to the cinema to escape the sad reality of life. I want create unique and amazing films that would bring enjoyment to others. I want to create a legacy for others to know that is OK to dream.

Union is a film that I want to make because it deals with people cultural differences, and how they must cast them aside for the greater good. Sure the film deals with a fictional situation (Alien Invasion) but the script is set on reality.

Fundraising Ideas for Filmmakers.

Part One:
An acting showcase is a great fundraising idea for filmmakers. It is similar to producing a stage play for public audiences. Independent filmmakers can use many of their moviemaking skills to produce an acting showcase.
These skills include budgeting, scheduling and directing. Acting showcases can be very profitable if executed properly. This guide will show you how to produce an acting showcase and raise funds for an independent film production.

Rent a Theater
The most important part of your acting showcase is a location. Find a theater in your town that is available for rent. If you live in a large city, there may be several theaters that are willing to rent out their space when other stage productions aren't in operation. Alternative theater locations can be located in high school auditoriums, churches and recreational facilities. You will need to find a place with a stage and wide seating area for an acting showcase fundraising idea.

It may be possible to get a theater for free, if you are creative and have dependable resources. Whether you rent a theater or not, make sure that you know how to control the lighting and room temperature. These items do not have to be monitored by you on the day of the showcase. It is important to know where the control devices are located. You must also make sure that there are bathrooms located in the facility being used for the acting showcase fundraiser. Parking is another location detail to consider as well.

Hire Actors
This fundraising idea would not be complete without actors. You must find enough actors who are willing to participate in the acting showcase for little or no money. One incentive that can be obtained is exposure for actors who star in this fundraising idea. You can invite casting directors and the press by offering a few reserved seats. This can be a great way to get actors to participate.

Part Two:
Actors can be found at local theater companies and schools. Many colleges have theater and drama departments that are filled with students who are looking for more acting opportunities. If your budget allows, a small
classified ad in the newspaper can also attract actors to the acting showcase. Once you have selected actors, tell them what you are trying to do. They can help to spread the word about the acting showcase fundraiser once a performance date has been set.

Select scenes from movies and television shows
Acting showcases usually include performances of multiple short scenes over a short period of time. You can select special scenes from famous movies to present at the acting showcase. If there is enough material, you can also skip the Hollywood movies and showcase scenes from your own screenplay or a love version of the movie you are raising funds for. This is a great way to attract people to your acting showcase. It can also help you find actors for your film.

Hire a Crew
Stage plays require a crew for a smooth operation. This is what you are also going to need for your acting showcase. Find a group of volunteers who are willing to help you with this fundraising idea. You are going to need people to help with tickets, concessions, sound and a lighting person. It is also important to have at least two stagehands that can help actors with their lines, wardrobe and miscellaneous tasks.

Sell advertisements in a program
Most of your money may be generated from selling tickets or charging at-the-door admission to the acting showcase. You can also make money with this fundraising idea by selling advertisements in a program. Many stage play productions give audiences members a program that lists notes from the production and cast members. Programs can be designed and printed out on a home computer and copied at a local printing shop. A great way to make money with a program is by selling spaces to local businesses.

Explain to them that you are holding a fundraiser for your film and ask if they would like to sponsor it by purchasing an advertisement. The advertisements can be various sizes including business card size and half and full pages. The prices should also vary for each size. This will help to raise even more funds for your film using an acting showcase. Actors will get exposure, local residents are able to enjoy great performances and you get to make your film.

Where's the money?

Talented people like me who have good scripts we don t get the money to make our movies, Why? Because film investors only invest in movies created by celebs, is like investors think they can't lose money if they put money in to projects created by celebs. All I'm saying there should be equal opportunity to get access to investment money.

Is the same crowd all over again.

I'm a my home watching the Emmy Awards on E, and what a surprise no new face on the red carpet. I compared Hollywood to a ostrich, they live with there heads in the sand. To the so call stars in Hollywood, they don't see all the new talented people out there. And to make sure that no one comes and steals there spot on Hollywood society, they make hard almost imposable for new talent like me to get the funding that we need to make our films. You see ones your one of the Hollywood insiders, you could pitch the must stupid idea for a film, and you get the money to make that stupid idea in to a movie. Is like film investors got there heads up there ass and thing just because the idea was pitch by a recognize Hollywood insider, the movie is going to make lots of money. This leave talented artist like me out in the cold, and again as I see the Emmy Awards all I see is the same face again and again.

Alternate ways of financing a film.

For some time I been trying to get finance for my films, investors, Hollywood executive and recognize directors don't like to even give pitch meeting to new artist. The film industry is like a secrete society that someone from the inside must invite you to join, and after your in "This club" then it doesn't matter how stupid your idea for a film is, you get the money for your film. Have you ever ask your self after seen a dumb movie, how did that stupid movie got made?. Well now you know the answer, people that belong to this secrete Hollywood society help each other out all the time. This leave REAL talented artist like my self out in the cold, people like me who have a REAL contribution to the film industry, with out the funding we need to make our films. So artist like my self, have to find alternative ways to finance our films. That is way I have created a line of clothing, to finance my films.

Good idea, poor execute I like the idea and it show uniqueness, but the way they shoot the movie was bad. I don't hate the movie, but I don't love it. Well is just my opinion...I like the concept of the movie, anime style but it could have been better.

Investment money for films

Hollywood have forgotten its past, in the golden days of Hollywood ideas for new films ware created all the time. Why because they had vision, they ware not afraid. Hollywood back then was run by artist who became business mans, now Hollywood is run by business man with no vision. Business man that are afraid of getting sued, so they just invest in sure movies. And that is a shame, because there good ideas out there with talented people. Hollywood have become a town of business people.

New products to finance our films.

To help our films we created a line of white t shirts and trucker hats, when you buy this fine products you be helping us finance our unique feature films. The finance system in Hollywood is all screw up, in the movie industry feature films are funded, because the investors who put up the money are best friends with a group of producers who don't care, about new ideas or new concepts or even providing opportunities to new film producers like my self. They just want to make films that are safe, that why you see lots of remakes from films that have made money in the past. I want to bring new talent and new ideas to the film industry, but people in the film industry just want to make movies from known talented actors. Is not the fault of these well known talented actor I blame the producers, directors and the investors they are the ones who keep the film industry close to others.

My Movie "The Voice of God" (Working title)

I’m a filmmaker who believe in telling exiting stories that would brig back the magic that Hollywood had. In the spirit of collaboration this is an independent film we are making we have the technology, the people, and the talent to make this a highly successful indie film. We have some select scenes that require use of CGI— we will use the money raised to pay for a highly-FX production to create the required magic to make this movie work.

" All great films, start with a simple ideas ".-Luis A. Ortiz

FBI role fill.

Since I started my journey to make my film, I have had a hard time filling the FBI role. So I'm happy to say that I found the actress that will play that role, and I know she will be awesome. Now to fill the other roles, I have a idea of who to ask for the male role. So until next time, when I have more news.

ReMaking Hollywood.

In today's films town (Hollywood) movies are made by business people who don't have a once of talent, to them is just numbers, if you think I'm wrong, try to get funding for a movie. For those of you who have done this and try to get money to make a movie know what I'm talking about. Hollywood must be remake, and a new system must be created to give talented people like my self the opportunity to make movies.
